The short answer

Fansly takes 20% and Fanvault takes 8%, so on $5,000 a month a creator keeps $4,000 there and $4,600 here. As with OnlyFans, the fee is not really the deciding factor: Fansly permits adult content and Fanvault does not, so for explicit creators only one of these two is an option at all. Fanvault is for brand-safe work where the storefront has to survive being linked from Instagram, TikTok or a sponsorship, and where physical goods and auctions matter.

Where Fansly wins

  • Adult content is permitted, and Fanvault does not allow it under any circumstances. For explicit creators that settles the question.
  • Tier granularity. Fansly lets a creator run several differently priced access levels with distinct content sets, which is more flexible than Fanvault's subscription model.
  • Content organisation and tagging for large back catalogues is stronger than ours.
  • A built-in audience already primed to subscribe, which a storefront has to earn from scratch.

How to pick

Choose Fansly if

  • Your content is adult, in which case Fanvault cannot host you
  • You want several distinct paid tiers with different content in each
  • Subscriptions and messages are the whole business

Choose Fanvault if

  • Your work is brand-safe and needs to be publicly linkable
  • You want to keep 92% rather than 80%
  • You sell physical items or want to run auctions

Switching

Not really a migration. Creators who do both keep Fansly for subscription content and use Fanvault for merchandise, signed goods and auctions, which Fansly has no mechanism for. Fanvault is invite-only, so start with the application.

Fanvault vs Fansly: common questions

How much does Fansly take?
20% of creator earnings, the same as OnlyFans. Fanvault takes 8%, so on the same revenue you keep 92% rather than 80%.
Is Fanvault an adult platform?
No. Fanvault has a PG-13 baseline: no nudity, nothing explicit, no degrading language, enforced with a two-strike policy. If your work is adult, Fansly or OnlyFans is where it belongs and we are not a substitute.
Can Fansly sell physical items?
No. There is no fulfillment layer, no shipping labels and no auctions. That is the main thing Fanvault adds for a creator who wants to sell objects rather than access.
